Choir
The Grendon School Choir is open to all children in KS2. We rehearse weekly and prepare songs that are performed in music concerts.
In the past, choir have been invited to perform outside of school both in our local community and at big events such as Young Voices.
Our aim in choir is to enjoy singing together, build confidence and nurture musical talent. We sing a range of different songs from pop songs to songs from musicals. It continues to be a popular club and demand for choir places is always high
Art Club
Our Art Club is a vibrant, confidence-building space where children explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and collaborative art in a fun and supportive environment. Over six exciting weeks, children create expressive self-portraits, experiment with nature printing, design magical clay creatures, explore colour through Kandinsky-inspired art, and work together on a giant group mural before celebrating their achievements in their own mini art gallery. Along the way, they develop creativity, fine motor skills, resilience, independence, and teamwork, all while building self-esteem and a love of artistic expression.
Times Table Club
In our times table club, we learn and consolidate our times tables in a fun and interactive way.
We play games from snakes and ladders, to snap, to hit the button whilst having fun and building our knowledge together. Bring a friend, work together and become fluent with your times tables.
This will certainly help your Maths skills as you progress through Key Stage 2! We look forward to spending time with you making times tables more fun
French Club
The purpose of our KS2 French Club is to introduce pupils to the French language and culture in a fun, engaging and supportive way, while developing early language skills.
Pupils build confidence in speaking a new language in a small group setting and topics covered support curriculum learning. Pupils improve memory and cognition skills by playing a variety of number games in week one, before moving on to learning colours through treasure hunts, board games and parachute games in week two.
In subsequent sessions, pupils partake in craft activities to present what they have learnt about greetings, and technology is used to reinforce this learning in a different way. The use of familiar story books promotes enjoyment and curiosity about languages and pupils enjoy spotting cognates.
The club culminates with a celebration of French food and culture, with pupils rehearsing vocabulary taught in Year 5, whilst sampling traditional French pastries.
Podcasting Club
During the course of the club, children will learn the skills and knowledge needed to plan, present, produce and edit a podcast. This will then be released on the school website and social media for a wider audience to enjoy!
Story Craft Club
Love books? Love creative crafts? If so, then it is time to unleash your imagination at our creative book club! Here you, and fellow young readers, will make stories come alive through crafts and fun, creative activities based around our favourite stories.

Debating Club
The purpose of this club is to give the children the opportunity to develop confident communication skills, critical thinking, and respectful discussion, in a supportive and engaging environment.
Grendon's Got Talent
Grendon's Got Talent is a fun, confidence-building club where children get the chance to discover, practise, and celebrate their unique talents in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Over the course of the club, children will explore performance skills such as singing, dancing, comedy, magic, drama, and more — all at their own pace. The focus is on building self-confidence, teamwork, resilience, and independence, while having lots of fun along the way.
The club finishes with an exciting talent showcase, giving every child the opportunity to shine, whether they love the spotlight or prefer to be part of a group. Perfect for boosting confidence, creativity, and self-belief — no experience needed, just enthusiasm!
