Emoji Reads launch

You may have noticed we've launched a new Book Review event...

We are always keen to promote reading for pleasure at Grendon School, so this year we are introducing Emoji reads. To take part children need to pick a book (any book) read it, review it and decided whether it is funny, scary, good, gross, informative, mysterious or even boring!

If children complete ten good quality book reviews they will be rewarded in the Summer term. Children do not have to do a review for each emoji, just ten in total. Children that complete ten reviews will get a ‘Golden Hour’ where they can relax in the hall or outside (weather dependent) reading a book and enjoying a snack. There will also be a small prize and a certificate for the best book review from each class.

You can read your own books and review them or other books from the library too! The choice is yours. Book review sheets can be collected from your class teacher, the library or printed from home - you can find them at the bottom of this page!
