Unicef Gold Award
In our Golden Jubilee week we are delighted to announce that we have achieved our GOLD Rights Respecting Schools Award!
Grendon Primary has met the standard for UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting Schools Award at Gold; Rights Respecting.
We are one of only 26 schools across Birmingham to have achieved accreditation at the highest level for the award.
Children’s Rights are securely embedded at the heart of our school ethos and curriculum and make a real difference to our pupils’ school experience.
Our assessors were really impressed with all the children they spoke with; their knowledge of their rights and the actions they have taken to protect their own and other children’s rights locally and globally. They recognised our school’s common language of rights, strong focus on health and wellbeing and the empowerment of children.
