Junior Leaders - Love Your Streets

The 'Love Your Streets' team visited Grendon Primary School on Thursday 22nd September to celebrate the exceptional work completed by the Junior Leaders last year.

The team were very impressed with how the Junior Leaders and the rest of the school have made positive changes to how families travel to and from school. How the Junior Leaders have worked with local councillors and other visitors to the school.

During the morning, the Junior Leaders discovered how to recycle litter that was placed on the school grounds by the 'Love Your Streets' team. They also had the opportunity to create posters linked to caring for our planet.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Scott, Debbie, Sam, Justine and the rest of the team for their time and support. The Junior Leaders loved every minute and felt inspire by the work completed. Grendon Primary School is only the second school in Birmingham to have been selected by the team to take part in this initiative.

The 'Love Your Streets' and 'Future Parks' team also donated an oak sapling to the school. We are pleased to announce that the new school captains planted the tree today.

This tree will be enjoyed for generations to come.
