Over the next 12 months, we will be having our entire roof replaced, with upgrades made to our fire system and lighting as well.

While this is a major project, and will last for a relatively long period of time, we don’t anticipate that there will be any impact on the school curriculum, teaching and learning, enrichment activities, or events planned during this time.

July 2026

Early preparations have begun and scaffolding is up around the school. Some classes moved before the Summer holidays and will start September in their new temporary classrooms (Years 5 and 6) before their classrooms are finished first.

August 2026

Work continues at pace, with lots of new tiles and skylights in place. There are several new windows around school and the electrics are all being upgraded at the same time. The school is a hive of activity, and it's quite impressive seeing how much work is going on – it already looks very different, and it's only been a month and a bit since work started. We can't wait to see it carry on evolving.

September 2026

There is still a lot of work going on in and around the school, and we believe everything is still on schedule! New windows, lighting and alarms are appearing around school and it's great seeing such progress being made. Mr Darby, Miss Clarke and Mr. Bates have regular meetings with the building crew and, so far, everything is going well! We hope to give you a proper update about the next step in the next month.

October 2026

Phase One is complete!! Our School Captains met up with the building team to see the progress and were very happy to know work remains on schedule. This means that the Year 5 and 6 children will be returning to their traditional classrooms at the back of the school after the half-term break. Years 3 and 4 then move in to the spare classrooms while Phase Two starts. We can't wait to see what what it all looks like.
