Welcome Back!
School reopens to pupils on Thursday 3rd September 2026.
We hope you all had a lovely Summer break, and we are eager to welcome you back for the start of a new academic year.
Staff are now in school getting ready for the children; making sure pegs are labelled, books are ready, and some fantastic lessons are prepared! Most importantly, everyone is ready to greet you all with a big smile and catch up on what you've been up to!
Children from Year 1 to Year 6 will be back in school from Thursday 3rd September.
Plenty of adults will be around to help you to your new classes as we know it can be hard to remember, and the roof works complicate that a little further!
As ever, please remember book bags, water bottles and to make sure every item of clothing is labelled - if we start the year right, it'll become a habit!
We can't wait to get going!
Reception Children
As ever, our newest children have a more gradual start so they can get used to their new school. Please click the dates for further information:
Thursday 3rd September: Stay and Play (9am to 10.15am)
During this session, one adult should accompany your child into school to stay and play. Please do not bring younger siblings. Children will be able to explore and play in their new classroom environment before ending the session with a few songs and a story.
Friday 4th September: Morning Session (8.50am to 11.45am)
Children will stay at school for a morning session. They will not receive a lunch and will be collected from the gate.
Monday 7th September: Morning Session and Lunch (8.50am to 1.20pm)
Children will stay for a morning session and a school lunch. Please make sure that you have already informed us of any dietary requirements. Just to remind you, school lunches are free for all Reception children under the Universal School Meals offer. Please click HERE for more details.
From Tuesday 8th September, full-time school (8.50am to 3.20pm) will begin, as long as your child has coped well with the previous sessions.
If your child is finding settling in very difficult, we will work with you to set up a more gradual approach to starting school. Please speak to the class teacher in the first instance.
